Other Ways to Give

With the support of generous people like you, every patient can get the help they need – whether they’re an older adult with high blood pressure, a kindergartner with a cavity, or a parent who is struggling with depression. No matter how you choose to give, you are making our community healthier. Thank you for making high-quality, comprehensive health care available for everyone!

Give from my Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

Many Vibrant Health supporters choose to donate via grants from their Donor Advised Fund (DAF). We gratefully accept these donations and provide an acknowledgement directly to the donor, sharing the impact of their gifts. When you make a DAF gift, the sponsoring organization might not share your information with us. If you don’t receive an acknowledgement email or mailed letter, please
email kgasper@vibranthealthkc.org so we can make sure to thank you appropriately.

Common Questions About DAFs

Can I set up a recurring grant or gift?

Yes! Recurring donations are an option from DAFs and are a wonderful way to make the most of your contribution. Whether monthly or quarterly, recurring gifts provide sustainable support for Vibrant Health’s patients throughout the year. And you can always change or cancel your gift, if needed.

Can I designate Vibrant Health as a beneficiary?

Yes! We sincerely appreciate your consideration, and we would love to learn more about your decision to support Vibrant Health’s patients in this way. Please email avanzee@vibranthealthkc.org or call Ann Van Zee 913-215-9334 so we can connect!

Do employers match grants from DAFs?

Many employers match grants from DAFs (but not donations to DAFs). To see if your employer matches donations, visit our Matching Gifts page.

Can I use a DAF grant to pay for sponsorship or event tickets?

Donations from DAFs cannot be used when the donor receives something of value such as an event ticket, or for “bifurcated” payments (partially tax-deductible). However, stock giving can be used for these types of payment, and you may save on capital gains for the whole gift and get a partial tax deduction. Download the Donation of Securities Form to gift stocks or bonds. Please consult a tax professional in regard to your particular situation.

Give a Memorial or Tribute Gift

Honor someone special or commemorate a significant occasion—a birth or birthday, a wedding or graduation with your gift. Just check the appropriate option if giving online or include a note with your mailed check, to let us know if we can send a card acknowledging your memorial or tribute gift.

Give from my IRA

If you’re 72 or older, a donation made directly from your IRA can help you save valuable income tax dollars. Qualified charitable contributions (QCD) of up to $100,000 ($200,000 for married couples) must be made by December 31 each year in order to exclude that amount from taxable income.

Give Stocks and Bonds

You might consider donating appreciated stock or bonds instead of cash. The total value of the stock upon transfer is tax-deductible, and this gift allows you to avoid paying the capital gains tax on the appreciation. Use our Donation of Securities Form to gift stocks or bonds – just download, fill, save, and follow the instructions to return.
