About one in four children is diagnosed as obese (ages 2-18). Studies cite that due to obesity, this generation of children in the United States could be the first generation to live less healthful and shorter lives than their parents. Management of obesity in children is critical to decreasing future risks and related costs to the health care system and maximizing the quality of life during childhood and adulthood.


The absence of prenatal care increases the prevalence of low birth weight deliveries and premature births. As part of our comprehensive primary care practice, Kristina and her baby will receive prenatal services and support, reducing the risk of serious pregnancy complications.


Although autism is hard to diagnose before 24 months, symptoms often surface between 12 and 18 months. If signs are detected by 18 months of age, intensive treatment may help to rewire the brain and reverse or reduce the symptoms of autism. Elliot’s primary care team includes a Healthy Steps Specialist focused on monitoring the child’s development from birth to 33 months and providing parental support.
