Vibrant Health to Require COVID-19 Full Vaccination for All Staff and Board

Vibrant Health

This week, Vibrant Health’s Board of Directors voted to approve a proposed policy requiring all employees, contractors, and students rotating at Vibrant locations to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 15, 2021. With this move, Vibrant Health will now join other local health systems taking similar measures, including the University of Kansas Health System, Saint Luke’s Health System and Truman Medical Center.

“From the very beginning of this pandemic, the health and safety of our staff and patients has been our top priority. With last week’s FDA full approval of the Pfizer vaccine and the increasing spread of the delta variant in our community, it was clear that this was the right decision for staff, patients, and community.”

–         Dr. Kelly Kreisler, Chief Medical Officer

On Tuesday night, members of the board took this measure a step further—requiring all board members to be fully vaccinated by the same October 15 deadline.

“As a board, we recognize the importance of accountability for individuals in positions of leadership, so when the question of board vaccination was raised, we knew that it was crucial to lead by example and hold ourselves to the same standards that we are asking of staff.”

–         Tracy Lockton, Board Chair
